Our Founder
Become Me Visionary, Yemisi Cedar, is a single mum who overcame significant childhood adversity that kept her trapped in self-destruction for years. Seeking help transformed her life and empowered her to positively impact her children’s future. This journey ignited her passion to support other disadvantaged young people.
With a background in magazine publishing, sales, entrepreneurship, and training, the pandemic led her to pivot into charity work at Exit Foundation. For over three years, she successfully led the MyEnds mentoring project, supporting 60+ vulnerable young people in Newham at risk of grooming and exploitation.
In 2022, Newham Vanguard commissioned Yemisi as a consultant to provide practical therapeutic workshops, one-to-one support, and toolkits for families. She also delivered training for school practitioners on best practices. This experience gave her the confidence to launch Become Me CIC, ensuring continued impact on young lives.
